Our Story
Back in 2010, I was working as a laborer for a drywall company when a friend convinced the superintendent to give me a chance in safety. The company needed someone with an OSHA 30, and I took the opportunity, even though it was a new challenge.
What I quickly noticed was how safety was too often handled the wrong way. Instead of coaching workers who made mistakes, some safety managers would curse at them, shame them, and break their confidence. I saw hardworking people many facing language barriers get mistreated when what they really needed was guidance.
Being bilingual in Spanish and English gave me a different perspective. I understood how important it was to bridge communication gaps so every worker could feel respected, informed, and safe.
That’s when I knew I wanted to be different. I didn’t just want to enforce rules; I wanted to lead, to teach, and to build people up.
Ventura Safety Solutions (VSS) was born from that commitment to show crews the right way, to lead with respect, and to create jobsites where every worker feels valued, protected, and empowered to go home safe at the end of the day.
